The "Import Metadata from Text files on file system" option in Teiid Designer is limited with regard to the data that can be imported. That is, currently, you can only import Name, Datatype, Length and Description. But it would be desirable to be able to import others too, such as Model, Table, Column, Nullability, Cardinality, Precision and Comments.

Link: Added: This issue Cloned to SOA-3178 This is being pushed to Teiid 8.0 (SOA 6.0) because of the effort required. *** Bug 780722 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Van Halbert <vhalbert> made a comment on jira TEIIDDES-1009 Are you considering fixing this for 8.x? Barry LaFond <blafond> made a comment on jira TEIIDDES-1009 The current framework is still just "first generation" and really needs go get a make-over. Since the Relational Model XML importer is a complete object import option and that this framework requires "custom" file contents, the XML option seems a better way to go anyway. Pushing to FUTURE to re-assess later. Since this was included in Beta release notes, I should probably make not of it in GA release notes. Johnathon Lee <jolee> updated the status of jira TEIIDDES-1009 to Closed |
