From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98) Description of problem: sndconfig(ver 0.68) runs and tries to detect the ISA sound card. After a couple of minutes it returns with "A ISAPNP sound card was found in your system. The details are: Model:Creative SB AWE32 PnP WaveTable". After respondig OK to the next prompt it returns with, "A sound sample will now be played. Again I respond with OK. This time it returns with, "The following error occured running the modprobe program: /lib/modules/2.4.19-16mdk/kernel/drivers/sound/sb.0.gz:init_module:No such device modprobe:insmod /lib/modules/2.4.19-16mdk/kernel/drivers/sound/sb.0.gz failed modprobe:insmod sound-shot-y failed Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Running sndconfig 2. 3. Actual Results: See description above. Expected Results: Should set up sound system and play test sound files. Additional info: I was running Mandrake Linux 6.5 with no problems running sndconfig. This sytem had no hardware changes. I only tried to install Mandrake 9.0
Yuck - why is it that you are still booting the Mandrake kernel on a Red Hat setup?

When sndconfig starts the disclaimer reads "Send bugs to bugzilla.redhat.com. Excuse me for living. I thought I was doing you a favor. I couldn't care less about using Linux in a serious manner.
