Probably.  Both are during cpu bringing up.  Probably a timing thing.  It is on this stack shows the cpu_idle called from start_secondary.  Inside start_secondary interrupts are re-enabled before calling cpu_idle.

I wonder if this is related to a recent patch I received where the hrtimer thread couldn't run on the cpu because it was so busy doing stuff.  So when the perf counter went off, it falsely assumed the cpu was stuck because the timer thread wasn't kicking it.

I can kick off a test build to try the patch.  Just need to figure out how to tell if we solved the problem or not.

Is this problem reproducible?
