scanimage do not work without arguments

Description of Problem:
What is worng in the following command?
[andy@work andy]$ scanimage > 1.pnm
scanimage: setting of option --br-x failed (Invalid argument)
[andy@work andy]$ scanimage -L
device `v4l:/dev/video0' is a Noname BT878(ATI TV-Wonder VE) virtual device
device `mustek:/dev/scanner' is a Mustek ScanExpress 12000SP Plus flatbed scanner
device `mustek:/dev/sg1' is a Mustek ScanExpress 12000SP Plus flatbed scanner
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
[andy@work andy]$ scanimage --version
scanimage (sane-backends) 1.0.9; backend version 1.0.9
Just try to start.
Please run 'SANE_DEBUG_MUSTEK=255 scanimage' and attach the output here with the

Debug info for the detalization of problem
What's in /etc/sane.d/mustek.conf?
default config without any changes.
None the less, please attach it.
