Description of problem: gupnp-dlna is missing gobject-introspection stuff. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gupnp-dlna-0.6.4-1.fc16.{x86_64,i686} Steps to Reproduce: 1.rpm -ql gupnp-dlna | grep -F girepository Actual results: no typelib file Expected results: GUPnPDLNA-*.typelib in /usr/lib*/girepository-1.0 Additional info: AFAICT this happened due to missing gobject-introspection-devel buildreq.

Although this update technically resulted in a .gir in the repository, it doesn't work as designed because it defines "GUPnP" namespace thus conflicting with .gir of gupnp package. This is an upstream bug and strictly speaking a separate issue, but without it the package doesn't work (and in my case it even hid the original GUPnP namespace so it might break someone's code using GUPnP via g-ir). Should I file a separate bug for that?
yes, will need a bug at bugzilla.gnome.org as its a source code bug not a distribution bug so needs to be tracked there. Feel free to update this ticket with the details of that bug number though
Upstream bug: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=668606 My question was rather if I should better file a separate bug in RedHat bugzilla?
you could but it would just get fixed once upstream push out a fixed release
