Description billsmith 1999-12-16 21:35:21 UTC
The AZtech CD Rom device on my 486-66 has installed all recent versons of
Linux, but the 6.1 CD ROM runs as if several retries are necessary for
each seek action. Minutes go by between changes in installation screens
and multiple retry seek operations can be heard from the drive combined
with apparent timeout delays.

Sounds like a hardware bug. Can you confirm that you are able to use the drive
without trouble?
