The upstream bug implies theres some kdelibs/plasma fixes required too, we'll probably just wait for kde-4.8 to land.

Created attachment 561117 [details] Updated patch which applies against 4.7.4 I did have to modify the patch to get it to apply against 4.7.4. (Modified version attached.) I have rebuilt with this patch applied, and I will run with this a while to see if the crash occurs.
No crashes or apparent issues since I rebuilt kdebase-workspace-4.7.4-7.fc16 with the backported patch. Unless 4.8.1 is imminent, or there's some other objection, can we get this fixed? (The patch has been upstream for more than 2 months.)
