Since after a kernel update (3.5.0-2.fc17) I experience this behaviour I will provide a new dmesg output, since there are ACPI errors.

Following this http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Common_kernel_problems#Suspend.2FResume_failure

I've got a "[ 0.631633] pci_bus 0000:00: hash matches" but only with the 3.4 kernel, with the newest I don't have any line.

Workaround is to press power button and quickly press any key.

Version 7.0.0-0.6 from FC18 fixes the issue. It would be nice if that fix can be ported to F17.

I still have this issue.

Comment 11 Martin 2013-06-11 15:49:20 UTC
Paulo, are you able to reproduce it on latest Fedora 19?

Comment 12 Paulo Fidalgo 2013-06-11 17:22:24 UTC
I can reproduce it using the latest F18 updates. Can I use a live version to test?
I don't want to mess with my current setup.

Comment 13 Martin 2013-06-13 13:36:37 UTC
Yes, testing with latest LiveCD is enough. http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/19-TC3/Live/x86_64/

Comment 14 Paulo Fidalgo 2013-06-16 15:25:05 UTC
Martin, I've tested with these KDE image and the problem remains.
Is there any other thing I could do to help fixing this bug?

Comment 15 Martin 2013-06-18 15:34:53 UTC
You can ask devels on IRC #xorg-devel on Freenode. I think robclark has some experience with ATi GPU cores.

Comment 16 Fedora End Of Life 2013-07-04 05:20:08 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 17 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 17. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '17'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 17's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 17 is end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the
'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 17's end of life.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 17 Paulo Fidalgo 2013-07-04 10:20:14 UTC
Marked as version 19, since the problem remained.

Comment 18 Paulo Fidalgo 2013-11-12 11:53:09 UTC
Using the workarounds for https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=787299#c21

I'm going to mark this as duplicated to concentrate the efforts.
