Comment 2 Michael Fulbright 2002-12-17 03:28:16 UTC
This is an kernel issue.

Comment 3 Ben LaHaise 2002-12-17 23:17:51 UTC
This is likely an issue with the apic code -- does the system boot with noapic?
Also, could you provide all boot messages for the failed boot? Thanks.

Comment 4 Freerk J. Bosscha 2002-12-23 10:44:18 UTC
I have restarted the system and add the noapic option.
After that I have upgraded the system and everything works fine.

Thanks for your cooperation

Comment 5 Ben LaHaise 2002-12-23 19:06:52 UTC
Could you post the entire boot messages from the kernel? We need that
information to implement a workaround.

Comment 6 Freerk J. Bosscha 2002-12-24 18:59:00 UTC
No problem...but it will be next week because the office has closed for
christmas..
