Follow these steps:
- Go to the Dashboard
- click Edit page 
- click Edit icon of Dashboard Portlet- change the value of the field Number of colums to 5
- click save

You'll get message: "Invalid number format in field "Number of columns".", but you don't know why (from that message).

So put some info about how many columns are available (max is 4) into the message. Maybe somewhere next to the field Number of colums.
