Comment 1 Josh Boyer 2012-02-20 20:16:52 UTC
This is because the ums_realtek driver is passing a stack variable to the dma layer (eventually). What were you doing when this happened?

Comment 3 Josh Boyer 2012-02-20 21:49:18 UTC
I added the patch in comment #2. This should be fixed in the next f17/rawhide kernel build.

Josh, as I stated this happened right after booting the system. So I don't really know what caused this error to pop up.
It's good that you added the patch.

Comment 5 Barry Godusky 2012-02-22 01:31:32 UTC
I rebooted the system after having downloaded and installed KDE and other debug packages to send in a report/ Now I don't know if that has anything to do with this error or not.

Package: kernel
OS Release: Fedora release 17 (Beefy Miracle)

That would be odd. Can you attach the full dmesg?

Current dmesg

My current dmesg after some days of usage (I'm using sleep mode for my netbook).

If I can give more info about this bug, please tell me.

You have a different problem. This bug is to fix the ums_realtek driver. You seem to have an issue with ums_eneub6250. Please open a new bug.
