Boot from "cold" start. (Laptop was powered-down overnight.) When the system was re-booted, kernel was spewiing messaged on screen faster than could be read. Re-boot was clean, with no problems.

Not a problem when rebooted with the new kernel this am. FWIW, this has not happened with the previous two kernels.
