Description of problem: Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: 100% win2k8R2 Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start guest with virtio-balloon-pci and -m 4G 2.in the guest install balloon service #blnsvr -i 3.stop balloon service #blnsvr -s 4.(qemu)balloon 2024 5.Pause balloon service #blnsvr -r #blnsrv -p 6.(qemu)balloon 4096 Actual results: in steps 4 and steps6 ,guest still can balloon . Expected results: guest should not balloon when balloon service is paused or stopped Additional info:
Hi Mike, Balloon service is not for managing balloon driver. The main purpose of blnsvr service is to provide balloon driver with the memory statistics, like soft and hard page faults, available memory, etc. Best regards, Vadim.

Hi,Vadim After install this service I still can not see the memory statistis both in qemu monitor and in qmp monitor after enable the service .I remember this works for linux guest Where Can I see the memory statistics ?
