Description of problem: A SPICE enabled libvirt guest can be accessed using spicec for example with: spicec --host localhost --port 5900 It would be great if the spice-xpi plugin would allow accessing guests from a browser directly, for example with: spice://localhost:5900/ or even (needing also some non-plugin changes): http://localhost:5900/ Thanks.
Created attachment 570221 [details] Desktop entry You can register custom scheme handler and since then, firefox can open spice://hostname:port by remote-viewer. Steps, how to register: 1. copy remote-viewer.desktop to ~/.local/share/applications or /usr/share/applications 2. run update-desktop-database ~/.local/share/applications or /usr/share/applications
Thanks, it works! Now the obvious question is should virt-viewer or spice-xpi do this by default?
