Description of problem:

X segfaults immediately after startx.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

xorg-x11-drv-vmware-11.0.3-13.fc17.x86_64
xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.11.99.901-6.20120124.fc17.x86_64

How reproducible:

Always.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. install the alpha release from "text mode" in VMware ESXi 4.1.0 build 348481
2. yum groupinstall Base
3. yum groupinstall "GNOME Desktop Environment"
4. yum install xorg-x11-drv-vmware
5. startx
  
Actual results:

X prints segfault error message -- see below.

Expected results:

GUI!
