But all that appears to do is to add ConsoleKit as a dependency. I thought the idea was to do away with ConsoleKit?
Yes and no. :) Yes, I have added a dependency on ConsoleKit. No, not everybody is moving away from ConsoleKit. ATM it is only GNOME but other desktops will continue to use ConsoleKit for a while.
