A Struts 2 application without the struts.xml descriptor will deploy on EAP6, however Actions are not properly mapped. There is no known workaround for this issue other then including the struts.xml file into your application.

This bug is fixed upstream. It can be fixed by using 2.3.2-SNAPSHOT dependencies instead of 2.3.1.2.

    New Contents:
Struts 2 application without struts.xml descriptor does deploy on EAP6, however Actions are not properly mapped. There is no known workaround for this issue other then including struts.xml file.

With EAP 6.0.1 and Struts 2.3.8 application deploys without struts.xml but Actions are still not mapped properly
