RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Red Hat Product Errata RHSA-2012:0862 0 normal SHIPPED_LIVE Moderate: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 kernel security, bug fix and enhancement update 2012-06-20 12:55:00 UTC

Description John W. Linville 2012-03-30 18:25:14 UTC
The following upstream wireless fixes were found to be relevant to the 3.2.y (aka "stable") tree between 3.2.6 and 3.2.13. Since the wireless code in RHEL 6.3 is based upon the wireless code in 3.2.6, these fixes should be relevant for RHEL 6.3

mac80211: timeout a single frame in the rx reorder buffer
ath9k: fix a WEP crypto related regression
      ath9k_hw: fix a RTS/CTS timeout regression
ath9k_hw: prevent writes to const data on AR9160
      iwlwifi: fix key removal
ath9k: Fix kernel panic during driver initilization
mac80211: Fix a rwlock bad magic bug
mac80211: zero initialize count field in ieee80211_tx_rate
      ath9k: stop on rates with idx -1 in ath9k rate control's .tx_status
      rt2x00: fix random stalls
iwl3945: fix possible il->txq NULL pointer dereference in delayed works

Rather than wait for each individual bug to be discovered, reported, triaged, etc individually, I would prefer to simply include these fixes en masse.
