Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 808968
Update OpenAL-Soft to 1.14
Last modified: 2012-04-11 22:33:33 EDT
Description of problem:
Fedora is currently on OpenAL-Soft 1.12.854, but the upstream version is 1.14.
The patch notes for 1.14 can be found on the main page:
There was a 1.13 release as well, but the notes for that release seem to have disappeared into the void, so here's a archived copy:
openal-soft-1.14-1.fc17 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 17.
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 17 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing openal-soft-1.14-1.fc17'
as soon as you are able to.
Please go to the following url:
then log in and leave karma (feedback).
Wish this update came to Fedora 16 as well... HRTF-based mixing is a great feature in this release! :-D
openal-soft-1.14-1.fc17 has been pushed to the Fedora 17 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
