Description of problem: Currently, it seems that there is no explanation about backup of RHUI available in its installation guide. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): RHUI 2.0 Installation Guide, Edition 2 Expected results: A chapter or section about RHUI backup (rpms, certificates, configuration files and database data) is available in the guide. It would be nice if there is a chapter something like the followings in the RHN Satellite installation guide: * http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Network_Satellite/5.4/html/Installation_Guide/sect-Installation_Guide-Maintenance-Backing_Up_the_Satellite.html * http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Network_Satellite/5.4/html/Installation_Guide/sect-Installation_Guide-Using_RHNDB-Backing_up_the_Database.html Additional info: According to the mongodb doc (http://www.mongodb.org/display/DOCS/Backups), possible backup method for rhui's internal mogodb are mongodump (hot backup) or sync+lock + cold backup (image copy or lvm snaphost, etc.?). Is this my understanding is right? If so, please also add the detailed explanation of the backup process of mongodb in RHUI along with other simple files (certificates, configuration files, etc.).

I haven't found it in he link from comment 4, but I have found it here: http://documentation-stage.bne.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Update_Infrastructure/2.1/html/Administration_Guide/chap-Administration_Guide-Backup_and_Restore.html So it is not beneath Installation Guide but beneath Administration Guide. Yes, I believe they separated the 2 guides after comment #4. I think it makes sense for this section to be in the Administration guide.

Technical note added. If any revisions are required, please edit the "Technical Notes" field accordingly. All revisions will be proofread by the Engineering Content Services team. New Contents: A backup chapter was missing from the Red Hat Update Infrastructure (RHUI) Administration guide, so there was no information on how to backup RHUI. Chapter 12 Backup and Restore was added to the Administration guide, and now users have the information to backup and restore RHUI.
