Description of problem:
It is impossible to pick a color from anywhere outside the Kcolorchooser window using the eyedropper tool. When an attempt is made, the application crashes immediately.
Report based on Fedora 17 RC4.1 testing.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Pick the eyedropper tool
2. Click anywhere on the desktop.
  
Actual results:
Application crashes

Expected results:
Getting color of the chosen pixel

I cannot reproduce on my box, mind providing a backtrace?

It's attached to this comment. Sorry for not providing it at first - I was running other tests.
The application is still crashing in 4.8.2.
