Both (firewall-cmd --help) and (man firewall-cmd) suggest the syntax is
  firewall-cmd --direct ipv4 --passthrough ...
but actually it seems to be
  firewall-cmd --direct --passhthrough ipv4 ...
(I haven't tried the other --direct subcommands)
