From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1) Description of problem: hello, I am trying to install linux on my laptop compaq presario 2820EA. All work fine, only my video is bad, during installation all ok, also Xconfigurator find my card, but when start X, a lot of vertical bars (transparent) make fonts and icons unreadable (delete the font and move up or down the icon)... I tried also to use the VESA driver (with ATI Radeon 7500 Mobility 7500) and it gives me an almost clean screen, but without 2D/3D acceleration. But this is not the solution; the caracters are not clean. I am sending the files /etc/X11/XF86Config and /var/log/XFree86.0.log files for the Radeon driver. Regards, Jose Miguel Fernandes Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Every time I choose the Radeon driver 2. 3.
