Description hal 2012-04-28 00:58:50 UTC
Description of problem: When running "install to disk" from the live CD, the screen size switched to what looked like 1280x720 (fairly wide but not too tall). That was not tall enough to display all of the install screens and the various ok/back/apply/etc buttons were drawn off the bottom of the screen where they could not be clicked. I was able to get through the install with tabs and returns. I couldn't figure out any way to resize the screen while in the middle of the install.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora 17 beta x86-64 live CD

How reproducible: Run "install to disk" after booting the live CD

Steps to Reproduce:
1. see above
2.
3.

Actual results: Screen size not tall enough to display all of the various install screens.

Expected results: Things should be sized or resized as needed so all of the buttons on the window can be reached with a mouse.

Additional info: Installing Fedora 17 live beta in a VMWare Fusion 4.1.2 virtual machine under OS X 10.6.8.

I am seeing this problem as well on the release DVD version. I can tab to the buttons below but without being able to see them I'm essentially doing the install blind.

I'm using VMWare Player 4.0.2 running on Oracle Linux 5.7 and trying to upgrade a Fedora 16 VM.

This should be fixed in the new ui included with anaconda-18.3.

Going through old anaconda bugs. This is marked as MODIFIED, no further reports, and I know some people have successfully used 19 Beta TC3 on VMware without mentioning any issue like this. Closing.
