RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Vladimir Benes 2012-05-18 19:02:05 UTC
kiconedit-4.4.0-4.el7.x86_64

icon is too large with low resolution please use scalable one

Comment 1 Jaroslav Reznik 2012-05-21 11:27:44 UTC
Upstream ships only 16, 22, 32 and 48 sizes, there's no scalable version available (as the icon is probably created in bitmap KIconedit itself).

This one does not look so bad in 64 but I'll check the possibilities to provide it.

Comment 2 Jaroslav Reznik 2012-05-21 11:35:09 UTC
Ops, sorry, it's 96 pixels...

96 pixel icon

First try - it's resized 48 pixel one with a few manual corrections. At least - it's not as blury as the previous one but looks pixelate. Considering it's pixel editor - it makes some sense :)

I can still try to create a scaleable one based on some oxygen designs...

This request was not resolved in time for the current release.
Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if still desired, for consideration in
the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Comment 7 Jan Grulich 2016-05-17 13:07:37 UTC
Granting dev_ack, the icon can be replaced.

Comment 8 Jan Grulich 2017-03-06 11:53:02 UTC
Fixed in kiconedit-4.4.0-10.el7.

Comment 10 Tomas Pelka 2017-04-26 06:48:36 UTC
I looks good to me compared to older version. One thing I spotted, icon is missing completely for running/favorites apps panel on left. Please let me know if this should be filed as a bug. It is not regression it is empty also for older version of rpm.

Comment 11 Jan Grulich 2017-04-26 06:50:03 UTC
Maybe try to run kbuildsycoca? I will look into that.

Comment 12 Tomas Pelka 2017-04-26 07:37:05 UTC
OK it seems rebuild cache worked after while, kiconedit now has icon on app panel. So ignore.
