Description of problem: Trying to use preupgrade to go from F16 to F17. It fails while finding storage devices. The backtrace makes me think the reason is that I have a line to mount debugfs at /debug in my /etc/fstab. And the preupgrade script throws and exception and refuses to continue. After deleting the debugfs entry from /etc/fstab, preupgrade continues normally. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora 17. How reproducible: Always. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install F16 2. Create /debug debugfs mount entry in /etc/fstab 3. Run pre-upgrade to F17. Actual results: Throws exception finding storage devices and will not pre-upgrade. This message is a reminder that Fedora 17 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 17. Fedora 17 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2013-07-30. Fedora 17 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version.
