Description of problem: update to kernel 3.4.0-1.fc17.x86_64 broke wifi connection, when rebooting with previous version 3.3.7 works again Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 3.4.0-1.fc17.x86_64 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. boot with kernel 3.4.0 2. try to connect wireless network 3. Actual results: wlan0: authenticate with wlan0: send auth to wlan0: authenticated wlan0: waiting for beacon from iwlwifi 0000:01:00.0: ACTIVATE a non DRIVER active station id 0 addr Expected results: successful connection Additional info: only tested with network WPA2/PSK
Hmm, this is propably not a bug. I could connect on another location, and also in original location after rebooting all the network equipment. Weird that before reseting network devices, I could not connect to either of the two wlan access points with 3.4.0, but rebooting to 3.3.7 worked. So closing this as it seems the problem was in some other network device..
I'm experiencing this problem on a WPA2 Enterprise network using PEAP. This appears new since 3.4.0. I'm not experiencing this problem this on WPA2 Personal networks. I'm getting this in dmesg: [ 754.874899] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: ACTIVATE a non DRIVER active station id 0 addr 88:f0:77:f2:99:c1
Is this still a problem on 3.6.5 or later ?
