xscreensaver-3.17-5 from 6.1/Alpha with unwavering regularity leaves core files. When checked with 'gdb -core core' they provide the following information: ............. Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault. warning: Hit heuristic-fence-post without finding warning: enclosing function for address 0x120002ee8 This warning occurs if you are debugging a function without any symbols (for example, in a stripped executable). In that case, you may wish to increase the size of the search with the `set heuristic-fence-post' command. Otherwise, you told GDB there was a function where there isn't one, or (more likely) you have encountered a bug in GDB. #0 0x120002ee8 in ?? () ...... It is always 'rd-bomb'. I can't reproduce this with xscreensaver-3.23-3 from Raw Hide; it runs without problems. Then again, the rd-bomb code hasn't changed. Does the rd-bomb from Raw Hide work for you?
