RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Bill Nottingham 2012-06-12 14:57:42 UTC
Description of problem:

junit4 currently has a broken build dependency on java-1.6.0-openjdk.
junit4 no longer exists in Fedora.

It looks like the choices are either:

1) fix junit4, keep it in RHEL, rebuild it
2) Drop maven-surefire-provider-junit4 and the build dep in pmd

Other ideas welcome. Please fix this as soon as possible.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

latest RHEL 7 nightly

Comment 1 Alexander Kurtakov 2012-06-12 16:40:18 UTC
Please do not assign these RHEL 7 bugs to me. They should go to Stano and his team. I don't know what handles the default assignee now bugzilla of pkgwrangler but whatever it is it needs to be fixed to represent the current state of affairs.

Comment 2 Stanislav Ochotnicky 2012-06-12 16:51:24 UTC
The issue is that junit now provides junit4. I will be fixed by updating to new version of junit and then dropping junit4. I'll do it later on

Comment 3 Stanislav Ochotnicky 2012-06-20 12:30:15 UTC
OK, so right now it boils down to: block junit4 in repositories, remove rhel-7 branch. junit now provides junit4

Comment 4 Bill Nottingham 2012-06-20 16:10:34 UTC
Moving to releng to take care of the request in comment #3.
