Description of problem: Fedora 16 comes with new Gnome-3.x Desktop. It was pretty hard to use. I can't have gnome-panel or add shortcuts to gnome-panel and stores files or shortcuts on desktop. During Installation,Please provide an option to choose between Gnome-2.x and new Gnome-3.x That will be a huge help to long term fedora users like myself. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora 16 How reproducible: Login to Fedora 16 with Gnome Steps to Reproduce: 1.Login to Fedora 16 with Gnome 2.can't add gnome-panel or shortcuts on desktop 3. Actual results: Pretty hard to use with new Gnome-3.x Expected results: User should be able to choose between Gnome-2.x or Gnome-3.x during installation. Additional info: I'm using fedora since FC2,now finding it hard to use Fedora with recent releases.
This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 16.
