Description Mikolaj Izdebski 2012-07-24 09:27:02 UTC
Package tomcat6 appears to be using Java generics,
but generates class files in format older than 49.0,
which corresponds to J2SE 5.0, in which generics were introduced.

Please update this package to generate classes in format 49.0 or
above. This corresponds to -target 1.5 option of javac (or ecj).

For more information, see bug #842394

Comment 1 Mikolaj Izdebski 2013-03-14 14:38:40 UTC
Package tomcat6 has been deprecated in Fedora 19 and later.
I am closing this bug as WONTFIX.

For more information why tomcat6 was deprecated see:

Comment 2 David Knox 2013-03-25 19:38:28 UTC
changed to CURRENTRELEASE to document this is not an issue in the tomcat6-6.0.36-1.f18 where java-devel >= 1.6.0
