Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because
the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.
Using Content Search Compare cut the the repository and the package names. This disabled the ability to view the full name of each. This fix adds tool tips that pop up on mouse hover.
Description of problem:
In a content search compare, when user is reviewing packages between two or more repos, both the repo names themselves and the package names tend to get ellipsed... but there is no way to really view the full name, so it can get confusing.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Katello Version: 0.2.49-1.git.2.b978990.el6_3
How reproducible:
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Sync two different similar RH repos, such as RHEL 6.2 and RHEL 6.3, or RHEL 6.3 x86_64 and RHEL6.3 i386
2. Content Search, choose a Content Type of Repos
3. Select your RH repos for comparison and submit
4. View results
Actual results:
Long names are ellipsed but it is impossible to tell which package belongs to which repo.
Expected results:
Some sort of tooltip or method to assure we can readily identify packages and repos.
Additional info:
ehelms has indicated that this might be in a future rev, but wanted to make sure we had a bz for testing/usability purposes.
