Comment 5 Edouard Bourguignon 2012-08-02 06:55:47 UTC
Hi,

try to rename your ~/.config/darktable and see if problem persists. There is also darktable 1.0.5 in updates-testing.

Thanks for your suggestions, tried both but it still crashes on import.

Comment 7 jvholst 2012-08-05 20:05:22 UTC
Import with darktable (1.0.4) on a newly installed Fedora 17 system exhibits the same crash.

Comment 8 jvholst 2012-08-08 22:45:07 UTC
Segfault on DNG import, JPEG seems to work.

Comment 9 Edouard Bourguignon 2012-08-13 10:21:57 UTC
Could you attach one DNG that make DT crash?

Ricoh GR Digital 3 DNG file

As requested...

Comment 11 jvholst 2012-08-31 14:33:22 UTC
Can you confirm that this DNG format is causing it to crash?

Comment 12 Edouard Bourguignon 2012-08-31 16:20:32 UTC
I can confirm your DNG previously attached is causing DT to crash. On the darktable bugtracker it seems there are some bugs about DNG:
http://www.darktable.org/redmine/projects/darktable/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=dng&scope=&all_words=&all_words=1&titles_only=

DT seems to crash when reading the embeded thumbnail jpeg inside your DNG. In darktable preferences you can set it to use half raw instead of the jpeg thumbnail, then the import of your DNG is not crashing anymore, but image is still incorrect...

Comment 13 Edouard Bourguignon 2013-01-09 10:31:20 UTC
Seems to work now with 1.1.1, can you confirm?

Comment 14 jvholst 2013-01-09 12:20:30 UTC
Yes it works, fantastic!

Comment 15 Fedora End Of Life 2013-02-14 01:56:08 UTC
