Description Allan Day 2012-08-07 10:53:32 UTC
The "Power Statistics" application (gnome-power-statistics) is included within the gnome-power-manager package. The quality of Power Statistics isn't great right now, and it is poorly integrated with the rest of GNOME 3. It would be better to leave it out of the default desktop install for now.

I've been told that nothing currently depends on gnome-power-manager.

This would have the added advantage of helping to clean up the application view in the Activities Overview.

Agreed.

Richard (the gnome-power-manager maintainer)

I just need to wait for my SSH key to update in FAS and then I'll make it not default in comps.

Comment 3 Elad Alfassa 2012-08-09 10:15:12 UTC
It's already marked as optional in comps. So, I need to check the desktop spin file. if it's not specfically mentioned there then we won't see it by default in F18 and thus we can close this bug.

Comment 4 Elad Alfassa 2012-08-09 10:20:49 UTC
Closing.
It is already marked as optional in comps, and not refrenced to in our live desktop ks file, therefor would not end up in the LiveCD unless something depends on it.
