Description Péter, Soós 2003-02-21 08:36:04 EST
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20030204

Description of problem:
When console is in UTF-8 mode deleting the multi byte characters (mostly
accented characters) by backspace causes deleting two or three character
depending on the character. I tryed it with hu_HU.UTF8 locale and hu keyboard map.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load an UTF-8 locale
2. Try to type and delete some accented character

Actual Results: Deleting accented characters by backspace causes deleting two
or three character depending on the character

Expected Results: Deleting accented characters by backspace causes deleting
only the character, not more

Additional info:

In normal (not UTF-8) console mode accented characters and backspace works normally.
