Description Doron Fediuck 2012-08-21 11:28:01 UTC

Screen goes blank during the new template dialog in front.

Description of problem:
When given the new teplate dialog, the background which was the VMs tab,
was cleared. Then when the OK button clicked, the UI hanged until I used F5 to
reload.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.1 si15

How reproducible:
See the attached pictures

Actual results:
UI hang and needs to be refreshed.

Expected results:
UI should run as usual.

Additional info:
It may be somehow related to the fact that a new host just came back from
rebooting and was changed to up, so maybe the UI refreched which caused this
hang.

UI after ok button pressed.

This is how the UI looked after the OK button was pressed.

I can not reproduce this issue.
I have tested it on the Upstream HEAD and Downstream HEAD in the following cases:
- host and data center active
- data center in maintenance
- host in maintenance
- during activating of the storage
- during activating of the host
- during rebooting of the host
- host down

No luck. Could you please try to provide some more details about how to reproduce it?

Thank you

Hi Tomas,
I can only assume it happened when host installation ended, but this may not
be the reason for the refresh. Try the following to verify:

- Add a new host.
- During installation (takes several minutes), go to the VM tab
and push the make template button for one of the VMs.
- Wait and check the events (lower pane) to see when host installation
is done, and host is set to up after reboot.

If the above doesn't reproduce, please check with Einav for relevant refresh
scenarios.

Hi Doron,

I have followed the steps you described and it still did not reproduce for me. I'm closing this issue according to Itamar's comment.

Very well. Thanks for chasing it, and I hope we'll get a reproducer asap.
