Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 850892
packageKit should prevent reboot when updating system packages like kernel
Last modified: 2012-11-29 06:34:14 EST
Description of problem:
I've updated kernel, rebooted while transaction was running, then kernel was installed in grub and selected as default option but there was no initrd generated.
I know this is bug in kernel as well as it created incorrect grub option.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Steps to Reproduce:
1.execute pkcon update kernel
2.reboot while kernel is being installed
can reboot and system can be broken afterwards
reboot should be prevented
We're now inhibiting systemd for this, so this should no longer be an issue. :)
