Description of problem:

The iproute spec has:

Requires: iptables >= 1.4.5


1) That's really really old
2) By hardcoding it to the iptables package, it still drags in the iptables commandline tools even if we decide to subpackage the libraries

I think we can drop this line and just have the xtables library requirement pick up iptables (or a theoretical iptables-libs) where necessary.

iproute-3.5.1-2.fc18 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 18.

Package iproute-3.5.1-2.fc18:
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 18 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing iproute-3.5.1-2.fc18'
as soon as you are able to.
