Description of problem:
I had set up my parents computer to do autofs mounts of their windows shared
directories. It still works other than the created mount points (done by
autofs) no longer has write for user or group on the created directory. So, you
can't create new files. I have tried over and over to use different
umask/mask/mode/etc. parameters in the configuration files, to no avail.

Comment 1 Trever Adams 2003-03-29 22:07:28 UTC
This seems to be a problem with XP's smb/cifs implementation as seen by/from
Samba. It only affects certain XP mounted points. dmask and fmask don't fix it.

I'll verify whether this is still a problem in FC.
