RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Red Hat Product Errata RHBA-2013:0350 0 normal SHIPPED_LIVE subscription-manager bug fix and enhancement update 2013-02-20 20:53:35 UTC

Description Matt Reid 2012-09-12 17:16:23 UTC
Description of problem:
We give a lot of importance to the next time the client will check in with its server, which doesn't seem as important as we're making it out to be. I'd like to see it removed from our three tab screens and pushed to the About screen. This will give us one less distraction.

No more "Next Update: Mon 10 Sep 2012 06:08:38 PM" on all of our tabs.

There was some talk when this came up about moving it to Facts, but without this being an actual fact, I think About is a better fit than putting it in Facts. About has some general info, such as versioning, and what its registered to. When it checks in next seems like a reasonable fit to add to those.

commit e582469e7329fe1e8a21764d0a500019f048f7d3
Author: Alex Wood <awood>
Date: Tue Nov 13 14:06:37 2012 -0500

856735: Move the Next Update notification to the About dialog.

Comment 3 Alex Wood 2012-11-19 18:14:39 UTC
Note that the Next Update text functionality has changed slightly. The date shown in the About dialog is rendered when the dialog is opened and not subsequently refreshed. This change is a slight departure from the old method of display where the date would refresh itself as the file containing the next update time changed.
