Description Stefan Schulze Frielinghaus 2012-09-13 17:36:55 UTC
Description of problem:
Since version 3.9.90-1 Ekiga does not respond to a call in a reasonable way anymore. A ring tone is played exactly one time, then a message pops up in the Gnome shell telling me that I should decide if I want to accept the call or not and in the next few milli seconds a new message pops up that I missed the call. That means, I do not have the chance to actually accept the call at all because the second message pops up right after the first one.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.9.90-1

How reproducible:
Just call me ;)

Additional info:
While using the *stable* version of Ekiga everything works fine:
ekiga-3.3.2-7
opal-3.10.2-5
ptlib-2.10.2-3

3.3.2 *isn't* a stable version, it too is a development version. only even versions are stable, and the 3.2.x stable releases don't even run on F-17

Comment 2 Peter Robinson 2012-09-23 13:40:10 UTC
Also please provide more details, like type of account etc. It works fine for me on F-17 and F-18

There were some changes to incoming call notifications for gnome 3. Could you report this bug to https://bugzilla.gnome.org/browse.cgi?product=ekiga so that the developer who worked on this can see how to fix this issue?

What window manager do you use, Stefan?

I'm using a SIP account (sipgate.de)

Hmm how do I figure that out? I'm using the default installation of F17, so I guess it's mutter.
