Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Corey Welton 2012-09-14 19:06:23 UTC
Description of problem:
When a user clicks the "down" arrow to expand the org picker in the main UI, it expands as expected. However, clicking the subsequent "up" arrow does not cause it to contract.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create an organization
2. Login as admin
3. Anywhere on the main UI (Dashboard, for example), click the down arrow in the org picker; note that the element expands.
4. Click on the resulting up arrow that appears when the element is expanded.
5. View results

Actual results:
The picker contracts temporarily but reopens.

Expected results:
Picker should stay closed.

Additional info:
Same behavior occurs on FF and Chrome

Comment 1 Corey Welton 2012-09-14 19:11:56 UTC
A similar thing occurs in the Administer dropdown. However, this element auto-expands upon hover. When moving mouse atop the arrow, it flips, but clicking it doesn't do anything.

May be a separate bug - let me know, if they can be fixed in the same manner, go ahead and do both, or I can write up a new bz

Comment 2 Pavel Pokorny 2012-09-20 10:14:03 UTC
I fixed the org selector [1].

But I am not sure about expected behaviour for Administer dropdown. It seems to me that it would be useless to make the arrow 'clickable'. It should stay hover-only. For me it sounds reasonable to disable the arrow flipping in this case.
