Description poil 2012-10-02 16:49:49 UTC
Description of problem:
I'm using collectd for a long time on RHEL5 and Ubuntu/Debian.
On RHEL5 I was using our homemade RPM, but for RHEL6 we will use EPEL
in place of our homemades packages.

I can't get the network plugin working on your collectd-4.10.7-1.el6
package.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
collectd-4.10.7-1.el6

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure a Server
2. Configure a Client

Actual results:
RRD are created but all values are NaN

Expected results:
Values

Additional info:
If I use our RHEL5 server and a EPEL client : RRD are created but the
value stay to NaN.
If I use this package for client/server I have the same thing.

I'll try to make a build from our homemade SPEC to see if it's a RHEL6 issue or not

I've made a tcpdump, on the client and on the server, packets are sends and received.

Did you get it working with a home made package?

I don't use network here, so not sure how much help I can be. ;(

If you can get any more debugging out of it we might be able to run it by upstream mailing lists, etc.

Comment 3 Kevin Fenzi 2012-11-05 18:05:45 UTC
Reporter mailed that they got this working. Closing now.
