/usr/lib/systemd/system/fedora-wait-storage.service does this: [Service] ExecStart=-/sbin/rmmod scsi_wait_scan ExecStart=-/sbin/modprobe scsi_wait_scan ExecStart=-/sbin/rmmod scsi_wait_scan the scsi_wait_scan service was removed from upstream kernel in May 2012: https://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git;a=commit;h=6072609d9bb91ff54aee3ef29304bd5b4fc88aae so there's absolutely no point to this any more, at least for f18. it should be taken out. I don't think we can kill the whole service as it seems to handle waiting for udev-settle too, but the scsi_wait_scan stuff can go.
A build is heading to rawhide shortly with all of fedora-wait-storage and fedora-storage-init removed. We can discuss bringing that whole stack back, or the minimal change if we don't want to do that.
