Description Martin Banas 2012-11-08 13:53:41 UTC
Description of problem:
Anaconda is not consistent in partitioning. When I do manual installation in TUI, anaconda creates native (/ on ext4 partition), automated partitioning in GUI creates LVM.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora-18-Beta-TC7
anaconda-18.24-1.fc18

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Fedora installation in text mode, go through all the steps and finish the installation.
2. After reboot check the partitioning layout created by anaconda

3. Start Fedora in GUI, and on partitioning step just tell anaconda to create partitions for you, not changing anything
4. After reboot check the partitioning layout created by anaconda

Actual results:
Anaconda creates LVM by default in manual GUI installation, but ext4 in manual TUI installation

Expected results:
Anaconda should behave consistently, and so I suppose create LVM in TUI too.

Comment 10 Adam Williamson 2012-11-23 06:38:42 UTC
confirmed a text install of Beta RC1 creates LVM layout. Closing, 18.28 went stable.
