Description of problem: per-user spice activex installation not available in Windows XP. This bug means that _user with administrator privileges_ has to "install for all users" the plugin on every computer. This bug should also "de-kitchen-sink https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=872541#c6 (and latter comments). Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): spice-client-msi-3.1-7 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. on clean XP client (in terms of 3.1 spicex installation), navigate to user/admin portal and hit "console" button a) as a regular user b) as a PowerUser or Administrator Actual results: a) nothing happens b) only "install for all users" is offered when you click on the yellow bar Expected results: both cases: when you click the yellow bar, "install" option is offered Additional info:
What's the bug? So you need an admin to install spice ActiveX for the users. So? Also, unless you think it's a 3.1 blocker, don't propose it to 3.1. Personally, I'd close-wontfix this. But I may be missing something.

But I may be missing something. It is supposed to not require admin privileges on all Windows version. I think we want to be consistant if possible.

Forgot that XP only support admin install of the ActiveX, so I second Yaniv, what is the bug?

OK, then we can safely close it (probably as CANTFIX) but it should be covered in the Release/Technical notes.
