I tried to build gcc-4.7.2-7.fc18 and noticed the following in the test suite output: Running /builddir/build/BUILD/gcc-4.7.2-20121105/gcc/testsuite/gcc.dg/format/format.exp ... --- FAIL: os_test.TestHostname (0.00 seconds) :0: fork/exec /bin/hostname: No such file or directory FAIL FAIL: os I think a Build-Requires on the hostname package would fix that.
