Get the latest pdfchain icons in directly from the pdfchain source code, lots of resolutions available:
	http://pdfchain.git.sourceforge.net/git/gitweb.cgi?p=pdfchain/pdfchain;a=tree;f=icons

Copy them to:
	/usr/share/icons/hicolor/*/apps/

Comment 2 Fedora End Of Life 2013-07-04 03:34:02 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 17 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 17. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '17'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 17's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 17 is end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the
'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 17's end of life.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 6 Dominic Hopf 2014-08-22 20:14:27 UTC
The package is dead in Fedora in the meanwhile and Fedora 18 will be end of life not that far away this year. Please upgrade to a newer Fedora release and have a look at tools like pdftk or pdfmerge if they can do your job.

Comment 7 Dimitri Papadopoulos 2014-08-23 07:02:15 UTC
Dominic, with all due respect I believe your answer does not reflect reality: pdftk is not an alternative to pdfchain, pdfchain is the GUI for pdftk. Am I wrong about that?

I cannot check how much the upstream pdfchain project is alive, the whole SourceForge site is currently down.

Comment 8 Dimitri Papadopoulos 2014-08-23 07:13:19 UTC
The SourceForge site is back online, I was able to have a look at the upstream project. I must admit that since the last chenge dates back to 2013-10-14, the upstream project is not much alive...

Still, pdftk is not an alternative to pdfchain, pdfchain is the GUI around pdftk.

Maybe pdfsam is an alternative, I'll have a look at it:
  http://www.pdfsam.org/

Comment 9 Dimitri Papadopoulos 2014-08-23 07:21:41 UTC
There's no Fedora package for pdfsam and I cannot find where to download the Linuix version from. Please bear with me, but I feel there's currently no alternative to pdfchain.
