Created attachment 647881 [details]
Incorrect Guide Me popup window right after 'aaa' DC was added

Description of problem:

'Guide Me' is missing when adding new DC or showing not related data for currectly added new DC.

Issue 1: When creating New DC right after logging into WAP
then there's no 'Guide Me' popup window at all.

Issue 2: Select 'Default' DC, click 'New' to add new DC.
Then there's 'Guide Me' popup window but it inherits
settings from selected 'Default' DC. (See screenshot - I was adding 'aaa' DC and in 'Guide Me' popus the values are related to 'Default' DC.)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

SI24.3

How reproducible:

Always.

Steps to Reproduce:

See description.

Actual results:

Missing 'Guide Me' or invalid data in 'Guide Me' dialog.

Expected results:

'Guide Me' popup window with valid data related to currently added new DC right after new DC is added.

No, it's a different issue.

Comment 4 Alexey Chub 2013-01-13 10:17:09 UTC
Can't reproduce - everything is working correctly.

Comment 5 Jiri Belka 2013-01-15 10:30:30 UTC
Cannot reproduce fully with si26 and sf3 but... for 'Issue 1', when 'Guide Me' popup windows appears for new 'aaa' DC the the selected "row" in 'Resources List' is still 'Default'. Same for 'Issue 2'. It doesn't afect funcionality but selected row is wrong.

Comment 6 Alexey Chub 2013-01-16 11:02:23 UTC
Issue 1: Fixed - Bug 872160

Issue 2: We don't select automatically a newly added item. This is a behavior over whole GUI.

The guide me wizard should be for the newly created DC and not for the DC that was selected just before the user clicked new. If you don't want to move the selection that is fine, however this means the wizard should not use the selected but the object just created.

So expected behavior (throughout the GUI):
1. If a user selects an object and clicks 'Guide Me' the dialogue should relate to the selected object.
2. If a user just created an object and the guide me dialogue popes up - the dialogue should relate to the newly created object.

Works exactly as described in comment #7. Closed.
