Description Colin Faber 2000-01-24 02:44:34 UTC
When attempting to load any sound module (for any card) the compaq proliant
800 totally locks up with no reported error messages except for the 'dead
console' I've already tired 6 differnt sound cards with no luck what so
ever. Same problem everytime.

Does it do the same if modules are loaded from the command line?

Comment 2 Bill Nottingham 2000-01-24 17:17:59 UTC
If you kill klogd and do 'dmesg -n8' (to turn console logging
up), do you get any error messages at all?

Comment 3 Bill Nottingham 2000-08-08 03:20:28 UTC
closed, lack of input.
